We write to wish you all a relaxing and peaceful Christmas. The year 2020 will no doubt be remembered for a once in a lifetime event that caused significant grief, stress and many challenges. As we look back many of us could feel a sense of relief that it did not affect us to the extent that it has others throughout the world and indeed those interstate. Perhaps it is luck, perhaps good management, but it certainly was a time to express gratitude and support of others.
We at Maxim are extremely grateful for your ongoing support, especially in these recent times. We also acknowledge our hardworking team, of whom we are very proud. Their dedication to Maxim and our clients over the course of the year has been nothing short of amazing. Like all of us, they are looking forward to a well deserved break over the Christmas period.
We also recognise that this is an opportune time to reflect on 2020, what it has meant to you, and perhaps for you! What are your learnings from the experience? What have you, or will you, change going forward, if anything? In the words of Sir Winston Churchill, “Never let a good crisis go to waste”. I think this is a profound way to view the year behind us and plan for what changes will support and develop us moving forward. Perhaps this festive season, more than ever, is a time to plan what lies ahead for you, business/work and personally. Maybe 2021 is the perfect opportunity to recalibrate, grow and prosper – take advantage of opportunities and to be aware of, and minimise, any threats.
In closing, it will soon be time to “switch off”, relax and enjoy your time with loved ones. Be grateful for what we have and positively move forward into whatever path lies ahead for you.
We sincerely wish you a wonderful Christmas, a prosperous 2021, and we look forward to catching up with you early in the new year.
